Rep. Jim Kreider, D-Nixa, was again chosen by his party Thursday to serve as Speaker Pro Tem of the Missouri House, a post he has held for two years.
Kreider was chosen for the job Thursday, two days after he held off a Republican challenge in his race for his fourth two-year term in the House.
As Speaker Pro Tem, Kreider is part of the team that sets the House agenda. He also presides over House debate in the absence of Speaker Steve Gaw.
Among leaders chosen Thursday:
Senate: President Pro Tem, Ed Quick, D-Liberty; Majority Leader, Ronnie DePasco, D-Kansas City; Minority Leader, Steve Ehlmann, R-St. Charles; Assistant Minority Leader, Marvin Singleton, R-Seneca.
House: speaker, Steve Gaw, D-Moberly; Speaker Pro Tem, Kreider; Minority Leader, Delbert Scott, R-Lowry City
Paid for by Kreider for Senator.
