Reader Says Voters should Know All facts Before Making Important Vote

This letter is in regard to the campaign tactics of L.Morris. As a Republican, I am embarrassed by his tactics to say the least. I believe if he is going to quote voting records, it is important that he give all the information.

1. Rep. Jim Kreider voted for a tax increase 1 time, this increase affected 1600 people, for the benefit of Schools. L. Morris stated that Rep. Kreider voted 40 times to increase taxes, which is not true.

2. L. Morris implied that Rep. Kreider also voted twice for partial birth abortion. Rep. Kreider also voted twice for partial birth abortion. Rep. Kreider voted twice for the partial birth abortion BAN. I think it is interesting to note that L. Morris left out a very important part . . . the word BAN!

3.On a personal note: Rep. Kreider helped the farmers all over the state by Decreasing Sales Tax on pesticides, herbicides, dog food, equine feeds, poultry feeds, etc. The reason I know he was instrumental in this issue is because, as President of the Missouri Aquaculture Association, I went to his office to seek his help with the sales tax issue that effected the Aquaculture Industry (fish farming) unfairly. Rep. Kreider immediately went to our aide and put a bill on the floor to correct this issue. Rep. Kreider did not ask me if I was a Democrat or Republican. He listened to me and said he was in Jefferson City to represent the people of his District, that he was glad to help me.

I will sing Rep. Kreider's praises, for he will not. I want the residents of this district to know that our Rep. is respected across the party lines for being FAIR, HONEST, AND A HARD WORKER for the people of our state. How many Reps. have become Speaker Pro Tem at such an early stage of their careers? That is a NON-PARTISAN position voted on by BOTH PARTIES!

Wake up Republicans! I expect you to win a race FAIRLY, not to resort to such shady tactics as these! SHAME ON YOU!
