"Representative Kreider"

It has been a number of years since Southwest Missouri has had a State Representative elected by his peers to the job of Speaker Pro Tem. This past year we did have a Representative, Jim Kreider, from the 142nd district in that position. For the most part we feel that the state legislature did a good job this session... I'm sure in part due to Kreider's leadership. I recently received the results of a survey of his constituents on some important questions. Here are some of the more interesting results: 72% said they favored withholding drivers occupational and recreational licenses for person who fail to pay court ordered child support. 81% said penalties should be increased on a person who killed another while driving while intoxicated. Several answers indicated that there is considerable dissatisfaction with the managed care medical plans that are now in operation. It is always good to see that representative is truly getting feedback from his constituents, in that way more meaningful laws can be passed.
